Another misstep, these specs have been out for months from one source as rumors so everything else they said is pretty much confirmed. Won't be as powerful as ps4 or xbox1, chip they're using is gonna be a lil stronger than ps3. Battery life on dev kits is reported to be 3 hours. Nintendo will not sell this at a loss & with all the tech on display so far it's looking like bare bones system & dock will be $300 MAYBE $250 but that's being very optimistic. Iwata would have been able to right their wrongs after the wii u but the new president is a business man 1st so they're doubling down on their silly gimmicks to sell consoles.

System looks cool design wise but their arrogance & stubbornness is gonna bite them on the ass at the end of the day. They're at least shipping with one killer app with the new zelda, shit looks like mgsv with a great art style. It's not a good sign how choppy the frame rate in the console trailer looks tho.

I'm a big Nintendo fan, but I don't get this concept. Build a fucking awesome new N64 with all the new Nintendo games (Mario, Zelda, Starfox, etc.) and strong third party support. As well as specs, that are at least as good as your competitors...maybe come up with your own VR shit.

I guess they are thinking they can combine all the handheld and console customers. Not gonna work imo...

so confirmed $300

Last updated by Jimmy Thang on January 13, 2017 at 10:52AM. Nintendo has officially confirmed more tech specs for its upcoming Switch console. The Switch will use a 6.2-inch 1280x720 resolution multi-touch capacitive screen. The console will also use 32GB of internal storage, which you can expand with a microSDXC card

i think they went about this the wrong way. im still interested to see what kinda hardware they are trying to push..... 720P via handheld, its 2017..

thats for the pro controller which to be fair microsoft charges $150 for their elite controller

however the joycons cost $80 for a pair & $50 for just one wtf, they put way too much tech into those, should have invested in a 1080p screen & more cpu power wtf @ 32 gigs memory in 2017 too smh rn its a zelda machine which looks cool but i'll wait at least a year for more 1st party games before i'd even think of coppin this

look at this dry ass release schedule smh

the only good news I've heard so far is the new online service will be $25 per year that's really cheap compared to xbox live & psn

im a nintendo fan, so ima have to get it because i need to play the newest mario game, zelda, shit like that, however theres alot of shit im mad at, im supposed to pay 70 dollars for the new street fighter thats basically a remake that aint even that hi tech of a remake, they tried they best to keep it G, keep it like the old version, yet that fucked them up cuz the graphics dont even look like something on a new generation console, the animation even looks a little choppy...THEN on top of that, i gotta buy a 70 dollar controller just to play street fighter on a controller i fucking HATE for street fighter to begin with, theres been rumored to be a controller being made for street fighter specifically in the range of 150, so im either gonna pay 150, or 225 to play street fighter ALONE. muxh less the console.

w that said, shit like mario, zelda, mario kart, is shit i need in my life, so ima cop the shit...because theres gonna be games that me as a nintendo fan, ima need. BTW they are trying to make this more an adult console this time around but we'll see.

splatoon 2 looks super sick on some shit that you can play with your friends, online might be just as fun, at first i didnt know what splatoon was about but now it looks dooope as a game to play against people. kind of more of a simple and light hearted version of call of duty more based on covering area and not killing people. the shit might pop off.

but my whole thing with this new nintendo is honestly single player mode and alot of the new games that are continuing from nintendos legacy. hope they make another metroid.

that one fighting game they have on the launch actually looks gay and ill pass on.

someones giving me their old gamecube and wii, because i missed out on that whole era, i wanna play mario sunshine, paper mario, a few other mario games i played real quick when my ex had it, but i never got fully into it. thats what gave me promise with those weird ass controllers, as far as the mario game on the beginning of the wii's first release... the way you had to move and toggle shit on mario to control it. shit was dope.

if they were smart, for us gamers, they would make a katamari, would be perfect with that stupid controller that were all gonna pay 70 dollars to not use.

but yeah, personally, i gotta get it because of games ill never get to play if i dont. and i wont allow that, nintendo fan for life tho.

seems like they had a successful launch, aside from some controller syncing issues anyway. i noticed nintendo is going hard for indie pc title ports rn, not a bad plan to fill in the release schedule gaps. they even got timed exclusives on popular ones like shovel knight

Shovel Knight usually a 15$ game has been on sale for 10$ but now it's 25$ cuz they're adding a big update, crazy, I'm glad I got it when it was 10$ definitely worth the bread

Zelda actually looks dope. And I'm not a Zelda fan or Nintendo fan besides Mario kart 64. The game physics, the AI, all the freedom and creativity and it's actually very challenging, people die a ton right off the bat. Pretty much all accounts say it's an amazing game.

The thing is though the game only has extremely minor difference from the wii u version, so it's not necessary to get a Switch just for Zelda if you already have the wii u or can scoop one up for cheap. I really want to play Zelda so if I can find a cheap U or borrow someone's or something I may just do that. I don't really have a need for the Switch, cool concept and all but kinda gimmicky it seems to me.
