The Red Dead games are always great

This is a for sure purchase
Fasho. I wonder what they can do with online to really make it crackin. Like obviously hunting with ur friends, stuff like that will be cool, but I wonder what else they can add. Custom mod horses? Chrome paint? lol Train Heists DLC! Im sure they learned a ton from GTA5 and I know single player is where the last game shined the most, but I can't stop from thinking on how they can/will make Red Dead Online a dope experience.

Anyone wanna join my Posse?

Yeah man posses is a must, they can follow the whole Crews GTA5 formula in that regard. I remember lassoing was hella fun in Red Dead Redemption, not just people but they made it fun as hell lassoing cattle and other animals. I could see some kind of farming economics in the game, like grinding out cattle missions for money, shit like that would work.

For single player, speculation is that it's going to be a prequel, since John Marston died at the end of Redemption and to bring him back would mean to go back to when Martson was part of part of Dutch's Gang. This would work perfect if they want to do character switching like GTA5, they could make it so you switch between Marston, Bill Williamson and Dutch van der Linde. It's not necessary to have three main characters like GTA5, but Rockstar said they really liked how that turned out and I think would work well in this game too if they go back to when Martson was in a posse.

Back to online, really they just need to add RPG-style customisation and online money and the rest will fall in place.

lassoing was broken & never patched from what i remember you could drop the lasso before tying someone up & you wouldnt be able to interact with them until you killed them

i just want them to focus on the single player i wouldnt be mad if there was no mp at all i never played it on the original

Lassoing was awesome in single player. I think there was a way you could have it glitch on you in multiplayer but it was easily avoidable if I remember correctly or maybe that was after a patch, I don't remember I didn't play MP for that long. MP wasn't that good in general, Rockstar learned a lot since then.

I agree, they can drop this game with no online at all and I'll still be like:

But the thing is, GTA5 online made over $700/ million in the past 12 months alone. And the game dropped in 2013! It's just too much revenue for them to skip out on so might as well make it as good as possible. But yeah, I have no doubt single player will be dope, I trust Rockstar on how to make good stories.

online was turrable i could never join with friends or a game that had more than 4 people
Back then they didn't give a shit about online, it was added without much effort or thought, hardly any of their games had any at all and the ones that did were really mediocre (GTA4, Red Dead Redemption, can't remember what else). Then they hit the jackpot with GTA online so seems unlikely they'll not want to do that again.

They need to make the areas denser after going back & forth a few times I just started fast traveling everywhere. Yeah I'll prolly try whatever mp they add once just not what I'm hyped about tho. Dueling & hunting was my fav parts of the last game lol

It's going to be hard for them to come up with idea's for a good online experience. I feel like the timeframe will hold it back compared to GTA V where you can pretty much do everything.

I'm looking forward to it but not getting my hopes up. I hope I'm wrong though.

I don't think it would be too hard. Obviously flying / skydiving is something they cannot do but for the most part, they can implement tons of GTA5 online stuff and even more things when you factor in how hunting and animals play a big role in the Red Dead Redemption universe. It would be awesome to have some sort of stand off/dueling challenge mode, either one vs one or some kind of tournament to crown the fastest/deadliest shooter. They can get creative with lassoing and have various challenges whether it's rounding up cattle, chasing down wild horses, etc etc. I think there is ton of potential.

Really though I just want a solid dueling online mode. Obviously you couldn't really do that in free roam but I'm sure they can implement a dueling mode.

It wont live up to the hype. It'll play like GTA 5 (Cut scene, drive your horse from X to Y, kill 40 guys with 40 effortless headshots, cut scene, next mission). There'll be auto-aim and watered down casual boring gameplay and multiplayer will be broken

What hype bitcher lol game was announced today with zero information other than the name and that there will be multiplayer.

I do have faith in Rockstar though, they always come correct. Red Dead Redemption was one of the best games I've ever played, GTA5 was easily worth $60 and then some, Bully was a classic, Warriors, Max Payne, Manhunt, worst game they made was probably LA noire and that was better than most games. They are one of the only developers I trust.
