Game looks dope.

Besides Primal, which I wasn't a fan of the prehistoric shit, Ubisoft has always done well with Far Cry games.

The game features:

Customizable main character, man or woman;
Main protagonist is a deputy sheriff;
Customizable cars, trucks, tractors;
Full explorable open world since beggining;
Non linear missions;
The dynamic world reacts to your choices;
Melee weapons such as pitch forks, sledgehammers and baseball bats.
You part of/leader of a Resitance that is fighting with the Seed's over control of Hope County;
Recruit system from Assassin's Creed is introduced. You can recruit people to fight alongside you;
You can have a dog companion;
Co-op;
Co-op campaign, fu game;
The eagles return and act the same as Far Cry 4
New fishing mechanic;
Primal's animal tame returns
Map creator from FC3 returning;
No towers;
You can trigger big fights;
You can ride classic muscle cars, boats, tractors and planes;
Cows;

Official Announce Trailer...

4 was enjoyable and had a limited sense of replay value once you reset the outposts. Primal was where this series lost me and as 2-0-Sixx @2-0-Sixx stated, solely due to the prehistoric element which lost my interest.

I'll scoop this up when it drops though, along with the new features added, the current world setting and the fact that your antagonist is part of some form of redneck hillbilly hick cult that your objection is to kill and cull off in order to reach completion screams enough enjoyment to take my monies.

Primal was like an in-between game, almost expansion like Blood Dragon, type game, hence it didn't have a number, so I never considered it as a "real" Far Cry. Basically just a reskinned Far Cry 4 with a unique concept (like Blood Dragon).

It's interesting this takes place in Montana. I guess the community is cut off from society and the game is supposed to take place over three days or something like that, to add to realism a bit as to why the national guard or whatever wouldn't be called in (not that killing thousands of people is realistic but as far as the main story goes).

I fucking loved Blood Dragon.

This looks good.
Blood Dragon was dope! But it was technically a stand-alone expansion for Far Cry 3 and was a special concept game (fucking neon 80s and Dinosaurs with lasers lol). I think Primal was basically the same, a longer stand-alone expansion of 4 with a unique concept but they just called it it's own game and charged regular price (unlike Blood Dragon).

I don't think primal was a bad game, just not my thing. I didn't like the idea of being limited to prehistoric weapons and shit for Far Cry, but some people liked it. The bow and arrow flashback scenes in 4 basically told me how the game would be at this were probably my least favorite parts about 4.

All of them have been solid though. Far Cry 2 may have even been my favorite; that game did a lot of dope shit..The map in Africa was fucking huge for the time. And I liked the idea of having to view your paper map you pulled out of your pocket and viewing it in real time (no game pause) with no GPS or anything so you would have to pay attention to roads and shit, which was fun and made sense for a big area in Africa. It was cool being able to call allies/friends you could meet and they'd help you out on fights, which looks like is returning for Far Cry 5. Bunch of other shit.

"My migraines prevent me from being active in the socialist movement anymore but miraculously I am am able to sit around all day and play video games.". - Some faggot in the state of Washington
Type of shit is this? You just randomly come into a thread and talk shit, which obviously means someones feelings got hurt! What's funny is I haven't responded to a post of yours in weeks or months. You still got some feelings that's been brewing inside you from weeks/months ago? lol take your meds you sensitive twat

And yeah man, because playing a few hours of video games in a month is the same as being in the streets passing out flyers, doing food drives, organizing rallies, giving speeches, etc etc., which is what I was doing for years when I was more active. What I can and still do now however is write- that's my main contribution at this point. Committee for Workers International, go to the website under north America and you can find my articles. What do you again exactly? Besides whine incoherently on the Siccness when you're not having withdrawals? Fucking clown.
