Fallout 4 looks like it could be pretty cool. I welcome the changes that other people are complaining about; to be specific, the voiced protagonist and the voiced dialog options. I really liked how with the Old World Blues DLC they basically made all the junk you could pick up usable in some form, in The Sink (you could recycle everything into crafting components or turn them into Skill Books and items). It looks like they realized that was a well liked feature and have expanded that in their settlement system. Bartering was also one of my favorite things; I usually ended up with 200k - 2million caps in all of my Fallout New Vegas playthroughs lol. Being able to set up trade settlements and heavily scavenge areas is going to be something I'm going to be spending a lot of time on

It's weird people would complain about having a voiced protagonist. As long as you still have the option to select which dialog you want to respond with all is good, instead of reading text you'll get to hear it.

Building settlements looks awesome and I already know I'm going to spend many many hours doing that.

That's crazy you get so much caps. Although New Vegas seems like caps are much more available compared to Fallout 3. I'm playing 3 now and after putting in a good chunk of hours I still only have about 700 caps, whereas in New Vegas you can rack up over a thousand right away and being low is never really a problem, same goes for ammo.

I don't know what it is about these games but I've quickly become a huge fan. All these new games just came out and I can't stop playing fallout and can't wait for 4. Just an awesome universe they've created, so much fun exploring and finding new things and interesting/crazy people.

I didn't see it posted in the thread so here is the crafting/settlement building video

I just got through playing fallout 3 game of the year (took about a month). This time i decided to just use somebodys walkthrough so i wouldnt miss anything. Anyways not sure how far into the game you are but i have well over 10000 caps by midway through. Also i would like to note that fallout 3 and new vegas are the only games i bought twice and play through twice cuz i decided to buy the game of the year editions for both. I loved the 1st modern warfare but man these fallout games are the most addicting games to play in a long time

I'm not even halfway through yet since I'm doing a ton of side missions and purposely holding off on the main storyline for a bit, just hanging out in Megaton got a house there, fucked around and wasted too much caps on a Love machine theme for the house lol.

These games are hella addicting though, I played New Vegas again right after I beat it and I never do that with games, so much shit to discover it's like an entirely different game on the second play through just by doing things slightly different, discovered so much stuff I missed the first time and got companions I never knew existed.
