WWE > New Report on The Undertaker's Health and Status
Posted by Steve Carrier on 10/24/2012 at 08:14 AM

- New details are coming out about The Undertaker's status for WrestleMania 29 and it's said that The Deadman is not in good shape at all. One thing that wasn't reported after his WrestleMania match with Triple H this year is that the hip replacement he had a few years back was damaged pretty bad.

There is talk that some of the surgical work he has had done over the past few years is really beat up to the point that he's back to square one. Taker had been going to see specialists in New York but he is so beat up now that WWE has been flying the doctors to his home in Texas instead.

There is also a lot of talk within WWE that if he does end up doing anything at WrestleMania 29, it likely won't be a big time physical match like we are used to. As we have noted, there is talk of having Taker work the Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant with the idea he can do a few memorable spots before being eliminated.

Right now The Undertaker is not being figured into any major WrestleMania plans internally. The feeling is if he wants to do it and feels like he can do it, WWE will make room for him. It wouldn't be the first time but it's possible could see The Undertaker skip a WrestleMania in 2013.

Some people within WWE are under the impression that the "end of an era" hype from this year's WrestleMania against Triple H really was the end as far as big time WrestleMania matches for The Undertaker go.

Undertake should just retire with the streak and go into the HOF in March
thats what im saying bc no one in wwe will ever do the streak again bc eveyrone on that roster already had a wrestlemania blimish except tensai, ryback. Taker already one the top 5 best in wrestling history. he rich as fuck and managed his money got a successful real estate company in arizona, married to michelle mc cool and they just had daughter. if he still wanna be connected to wrestling all he gotta do is meet and greet appearences, let mattel drop wrestling figures of him and he can cake off that. but he dont need to keep going out there destroying himself and ruining his legacy. bc it be fucked up for him to be in a wheel chair or die on road.

i must be missing something here.. from what i understood undertaker is gonna fight brock lesnar at wrestlemania 29 and brock was going to be the one that ended the streak.. i remember undertaker saying that if he was gonna loose at mania he would want to loose to kane sort of like passing the torch kinda thing but that was years ago tho

I dont see a reason to end the streak at all. Taker should go to the HOF that way and I think he should retire after this year.

Plus this is wrestling were talking about. He could take a few years off then come back and have that 1 more great match. In between he could come out for segments or just do the legends thing and hit the road for cons and stuff.

that match isnt gonna happen it was just a internet rumor when brock returned but the real match they always been gunning for at mania is brock vs HHH.

and for the streak its documented in shoot interviews that taker wanted kane or Kurt Angle to end it but Vince said no.

Honestly only three guys in the wwe active roster ni can see ending the streak would be Cena, Punk or Ryback But i dont think its gonna get ended I think taker just slowly vanishing.

^^ imo, that would accomplish nothing...kane will be back to jobbing to someone ridiculous and doing cheesy skits a month later..

anyway...fuck passing the torch..undertaker doesnt need to do that...keep the streak intact..
I agree. wwe ruined Kanes monster image once and for all. He makes good cartoon comically with bryan now. I think taker just slowly hanging it up he is 47 years old now and look out of character with that mohawk since long hair is that deadmans character signature.

what they shouldve done is had him lose a casket match(like at RR 94) then go out that way.

imo they fucked all the classic characters up with the whole break kayfabe situation. I remember being a kid going backstage tryna find bret hart to get a autograph(failed taht show of getting it) but I ran into paul bearer, the undertaker in the hall way talking to to Youkozuna I was so shocked bc i didnt think they liked each other lol.

Thing is time is ticking he 47 so that means he only getting older if he wait couple years for another big match he will look aged and pathetic wobblin to the ring on some hogan, nash and flair shit though if he waits too long unless he comes back as Big evil on the bike.

^ Yeah but what good does that do WWE if Brock just makes occasional appearances and isn't guaranteed to stick around after Mania. I don't think the streak should be ended....Ryback can be built up in other ways. No one is deserving enough right now to beat Undertaker. Especially the way WWE loves to build guys up and then just toss them back in the midcard, it's useless. I don't know if there's anyone left that I would want to see Undertaker beat.
