What is a Roland TR-808? One of the first who were handling it and hits screwed was Egyptian Lover, back in early 80s L.A. He was the one who defined the electrofunk hip-hop sound of the city – even long before NWA and the likes of West Coast left their mark. Recently, the 808 Godfather in Berlin HHV Store was visiting and presented his turntable and 808 skills.

I shit you not, I saw them at 4th and B out here in SD before they closed down and they are some of the best performers I've ever seen! True Legends
