WT has a good point. I felt it was basically one long photo shoot/music video shoot/art school film. There was only like 10-15 minutes of action in 2 hours.
The imagery and sound design were on point, as I expected, and I'm a fan of Refn so it was worth seeing once, but I couldn't really recommend it to non-Refn fans and I definitely wouldn't pay money for it.
I was actually pretty happy when I woke up a few hours ago, opened the curtains in the living room, and it was overcast, sorta cool, with a slight breeze out.
im already seeing jesse basically manipulating everybody from the very first scene lol, and also pretty convinced she murdered her parents which i missed the first time around
she especially manipulates ruby. digging the really subtle interactions and manipulations. the whole time the first time i thought ruby was manipulating jesse, possibly grooming her; it was completely the other way around lol
