Too Short vs. Devin the Dude

I agree... they both top of the line artist

BUT

I grew up on Short, and his music paved the way for artist like Devin. Plus Too Short is still relevant in 2012.

That being said I always have a few Too Short, and Devin albums in the Ipod.

we need more album from both these dudes, been a minute!

Devin has one fantastic album and the rest are just ok. Too short got hella classics. Like em both but short dog wins.

This poll is not fair to Devin the Dude. Short Dog all day every day against anyone. He's the rap blueprint of that freaky ish.

Too Short

Too $hort is the godfather of independent rap. If you listened to any bay area rap, midwest, southern rap (basically any rap outside of NY and LA) in the 90's you are listening to music that Short paved the way for. Not only was his business model copied but also his sound with heavy bass, pfunk samples, lots of 808 etc...
