Main Attrakionz is a duo of rapper/producer Squadda Bambino and rapper Mondre M.A.N. from Oakland, California. I've been a casual fan of their music for a minute now but this album is dope. It's got that whole atmospheric vibe which seems to be becoming more usual in rap these days thanks to producers like Clams Casino (who produces a song on the album) and the likes. They are giving it away free on their bandcamp but I reupped it to mediafire to make things easier. Anyways, check it out.

Listening now, glad it sounds like they've finally found their sound/right combo of things. I've always liked them just for the fact they are outside of the box for a bay area act and would take risks, granted, they rarely worked before lol.

Just finished it and hit repeat, really digging it. I'd give it a solid 8/10, maybe even an 8.5. If the lyrics were a little bit more polished it would have been better, but the production is really good on this. It kind of carried them on it, the rhymes weren't terrible or anything, just could have been better.

Yeah neither of them bring some super lyrical shit but they made some really damn good songs on this album. The production was a big factor for sure and I like that they used a wide variety of upcoming producers and made it work really well. They are like 19-20 so they have time to polish up on the lyrics side and as long as they keep making dope songs I'll keep listening.

I also like that outside of producers (which I personally don't count anyways) there was only ONE feature on the album. I miss that shit with rap. A lot of shit today looks like a fucking compilation when it's supposed to be a solo or duo album.

reason there are colab cds and not solos is because the rap game is full of colab-type rappers who arent good for a whole solo or they are good enough but are lazy to do a whole cd or just want the next big thing on they shit. then again i wouldnt mind some back to back cds like in the past too

MondreM.A.N. of Main Attrakionz just released a EP more or less out of nowhere a couple days ago. He kept up the same quality of work in my opinion that they established with 808s and Dark Grapes II. I'm just waitin' on Squadda B's Back Sellin' Crack to drop before I can say they are no longer hit or miss with me because these last two releases have been really solid. Anyways, they ran out of downloads on Bandcamp so it's charging for the EP now so I upped it to mediafire for whoever want's it.
