They more interested in worldstar and youtube videos and paperwork and so called snitching and doing e pills and snorting coke than making music. Such a disappointment for the left coast cause its so much great history over on that side. The ones who really still out there putting it down yall don't like the music they making (SNOOP, DPG, YUK, E 40, TOO SHORT, JT THE BIGGA FIGGA, PLANET ASIA...). I blame the drug game.

Well, according to some "industry insiders" or whatever... if you are over 30, dont rock skinny jeans, & dont own a snapback hat with fruity pebbles colors on display, YOU AINT HIP HOP.

I guess my Doughboy attire & my love for REAL gangster rap dont sit well with the new generation of rap.

Good thing my iPod is full of the shit I enjoy. Fuck the rest.

its alot of dope music out there, A Lot...just aint looking hard enough or you only have a certain taste that might be dated. The 90's are gone yall. I agree there is alot of bullshit because home studios and technology make it easier to project bullshit to your doorstep. The audience today wants to have fun...not get mean mugged and dance with a group of dudes who think they are mobbed out....

EVERYTHING COMES IN CYCLES. IM SURE THE TIME WILL COME WHEN EVERYBODY IS ALL GANG BANGED OUT AGAIN.
Its not even that tho, we just had way more variety back then. Every region had their own sound and style. Now its either techno, trap beats, or mood/love music.
Me personally, I just want regions to have their own identity again.

90's rap music will never die. There's Plenty of good talent out here in Cali. One of the problems is its oversaturated with people that think they can actually rap. Downloading has killed it and people from our own state would rather listen to some whack ass shit then support dope independent music.

Whats is not good to you can be dope to somebody else, that what people have to understand about todays game.... its all opinion and just cause your favorite isnt the peoples choice anymore just shoes that times have changed...it happens and always has as long as music has evolved.
