My homie Demon and I took this same approach with beats years back. We definitely had those old school synthesizer sounds that you hear on 80’s tracks like Alexander O’neal “When the party’s over”. Gotta give it up to the microkorg vocoder and old school kits and synths off a keyboard we used to use.
