APT 3 / DNA Ent. presents
THE MOBB LEGACY: 10 years deep

Once again Apt.3 and DNA Entertainment has teamed together for another Bay Area classic, this time to give an overview of the past 10 years within the organization and the movement to keep the Bay Area's Mobb sound alive. While rap has seen many new fads come into play such as the hyphy movement, the "MOBB LEGACY" has remained a strong part of the Bay Area Rap industry since its inception and acceptance into nationwide rap as a whole.
This DVD has been dedicated to Ronald "Cougnut" Fields and Ryan "Woodie" Wood, both of which tragically passed and were a huge loss to the independant rap game and the bay are overall. This film pays a damn good tribute to the hard work and dedication of both these artists, as well as offers a glimpse inside the minds of the two of the hardest working independent artists, both which died way too soon. Sadly..this is a common occurrence here in the bay.

Directed by Gabriel "Mr. IllMannered" Vaugh and A1Sway this DVD surpassed most of the dvd videos I have seen in the past several years, it offers a behind the scenes view of the rap game, as well as a documentary style perspective..to the blueprint of how to succeed in the bay area rap game. Cougnut's legacy lives on strong through this DVD and takes us back to when times were different in music..I grew up listening to Cougnut's music like many of us did in my age group, and the man was always recognizable by the characterized raspy voice barking on the mic. Mobb Legacy offers unreleased music and previously unseen footage supporting the preservation of Cougnut's memory. All Cougnut fans will be satisfied with the content on this DVD, it's as close as we can get to his last album.Definitely a great tribute to a legend.

Also offering a behind the scenes interview with Ryan "Woodie" Wood, who first was introduced to the bay through his "Yoc Influenced" album which has been labeled an underground classic. While continuing to release his "Northern Exposure" compilations, hos own solo albums, and featuring on other projects, Woodie's success and recognization reached new levels. The street influenced record label East Co-Co Records and rapper Woodie based out of Antioch, CA. became one of the most well-known northern affiliated rap labels on the West Coast and beyond. Sadly, Woodie was another rapper to pass away much too soon. Woodie's talent, drive, and dedication to his music is reflectly strongly in an interview on the DVD.

While covering a number of artists in the film, this DVD boasts an amazing 3+ Hours of footage. For any bay area rap fan or otherwise, this is an impressive amount of material compiled... and set to a soundtrack that will leave heads bobbin. With classic tracks from some of the Bay Area's signature talent such as Killa Tay, Suga Free, SB of UNLV, and Tech 9 and tons more make appearances in this

The interviews with legendary San Francisco producers such as T.C and The Enhancer, Paris, and Jason Blaine of In-A-Minute Records. The DVD gives you an inside look at what it takes to make it in the rap game, some insider secrets to success and maintaing continuity with your rap career. While you get to see performances from some of bay rap's pioneers such as Fly Mar, Hugh E MC, Too Short, 4-Tay JT the Bigga Figga, U.D.I, 11/5 and more..

Apt. 3 also covers the horrorcore sector of rap music by displying such talented artists as Mars of Mad Insanity, who's notoriety was made public after the Red Lake School shooting. With a cult following known as Juggalos, Mars gives you insight on the horrorcore scene and as himself as an artist. ADR Lavery of Triple 6 is also featured on the DVD performing their amazing stage show on tour in Helsinki, Finland mixing satanic gore and mobb music for an incredibly graphic show. ADR Lavel also performs his well-known hits as "Grave Digger" "Fighting Cases" and "King of the Devil Block"

...... with the amount of footage included in the DVD, as well as all the Bonus Features..this DVD is well worth every penny of your money. Apt.3's dedication to the survival of the mobb music genre is shown throughout this DVD as well as all their album releases. All you bay Area Rap fans..this DVD can be added to your collection of classic purchases.

Congratulation to the Apt. 3 / DNA Entertainment family on an amazing 10 year legacy, by any standards...this release pays homage to Mobb Music as well as continues the movement to keep it alive.

The performances was dope specially the Big Vic appearance and where Coug was doin Bammer Weed, Killahoe and Scandlous. Props on that Jason Blaine interview....and I think this the best editing I've seen from Sway cuz it had that authentic documentary feel.
