I always procrastinate. I'm usually 2-3 years behind but so far have always had quite a bit coming to me. Financial gurus always say you should always break even (giving gubmint interest free loans is dumb) but I feel like if I have to sit down and read and fill out 6000 forms I want something in return for it. Yes, I do my own- I'm not paying someone else to do shit I can do in a day.

With that said, I haven't started on 2017. I just finished 2016. Here's to hoping I don't owe for 2017, my income went up more than 20%; hoping I adjusted my payments correctly.

I haven't done taxes in years. Pretty much been on nothing but tax free income since 2012. I still haven't filed for 2016 when I worked for a pretty big corporation for a few months though, I should probably do that one of these days lol

All of my 2016 refund going to buy my daughter a ride for a graduation gift I guess. Lesson learned here: not making any more babies..... fortunately she happy with a Mustang under 10k and not anything too extra...

That's smart. I am never able to file by Feb 1st, I don't receive all of my forms until the end of Feb, but I still procrastinate anyway. 2017 is the first year I will have sent by tax day since 2008.

I finished my 2017 at 3:30p, but I didn't owe anything so really didn't have to have them done by today.

And then of course this happened for those that do ow and aren't filing an extension:

:
The IRS is giving taxpayers an extra day to file due to computer glitches

My dad and father-in-law are both accountants, so they usually handle our taxes. At least I know it is being done by someone I can trust and who knows what they fuck they are doing.
