born from an alcoholic father and a minister mother, dave worked at a carwash. he would practice with a hair brush from the band and the rest of the boys who had plenty. he would practice his hairbrush 3-4 hours a day after baseball practice with the other boys.
after the hairbrush didn't work out he learned how to be on tv and have a chair to talk to people. he recently retired.
