Man Shot Dead at Funeral for His Cousin

Very uncalled for, here are other things close to being that fucked up, but not as close. A couple homies I know pissing on a dead scraps grave. Pissing on another scraps death scene, scraps throwing water bottles and bear bottles for da homie's funeral. It's gonna be times like that, I highly do not condone it, it's stupid. Show respect for those mourning man.

West Adams: Robert Hunter, 34, a black man, was shot at a homicide funeral Saturday morning at about 10:20 a.m. Saturday, April 28 and died later that night at a hospital. Two other people, a black man and a woman, 33, were injured by bullet-graze wounds to their legs and ankles and were treated at a hospital and released. The attack took place at Southern Missionary Baptist Church at 4678 Adams Blvd. during a funeral for a homicide victim. Hunter was that victim's cousin.

Hunter and the suspect were among the crowd at the back entrance to the church, police said. Police said they believe there was an argument, and the suspect left in anger, then returned with a gun and began shooting. Other attendees at the funeral produced guns and shot back. Sgt. Adrian Moody of LAPD's Southwest Division said that people were getting in their cars and leaving in droves when he arrived. The funeral goers had heard the gunshots in back while in the church, and flooded out the front doors. The suspect escaped.

Moody said the funeral was for a Compton victim whose family had sought several places to hold the service and been turned down because pastors and funeral directors feared gang violence. They had finally found the pastor on West Adams, far away from Compton, who agreed to do the service. Violence at funerals and cemeteries for the victims of gang violence occurs now and then in Los Angeles--one reason police often monitor funerals. Police could not confirm Sunday whether any officers had been monitoring this funeral.
