If you focus on body weight and isolation you can totally get an effective workout at home
I can do that at the park.
Why even get a home gym then?

Why does anyone even go to the gym?
Professional athletes, body builders, fighters, they should all just get a home gym and train in there.

Why don't they? Because it's only effective up to a certain point.
It's really not even worth arguing about. Every single person here who has a home gym will eventually realize they need a full facility to take their bodies to the next level.

Until then, I am wrong and really don't care.

As far as contributing to this thread without bashing it (go to a real gym, etc), is that the only thing useful in a home gym is an elyptical and maybe a bike. That's my feedback.

And I can spend the time with my child or supervise her playing outside while I'm working out.
Totally down with that. That to me, makes it all worth it.
It kills me that I dont spend enough time with my son (he's only 17 months old) and I come home from work just to leave again and go train. So I admire what you do.

I go to the gym prett frequently, having even some basic workout equipment at home is still a good idea, for me at least. A bench, a bar, some weights, something to do pull-ups on or some rings, etc, for those days you aren't up for the gym trip, or for greasing the groove on off/cardio days. If someone was truly dedicated, and willing to drop some money, they could get a full comprehensive workout at home. I won't deny that going to the gym makes it a lot easier for most people, I'm one of them. its definitely not pointless to have workout equipment at home though, even if it's just for the motivation factor of having it 20 feet away. And pro athletes/fighters definitely work out at home too sometimes lol

Think I'm Going With The Speed Bag With The Next Equipment Move, I Don't Want To Be All Bulky Where I Can't Move And Can't Hit Hard. I Do Fucks With That Protein Isolate, Anybody Know The Difference Between That And Whey?
Speed bag is for timing and eye coordination. Really has nothing to do with power.

ISO is cleaner than Whey. Less carbs, sugar, just cleaner.
It's refined one more time than whey, so they lose product.
I buy both, depending on what's on sale.

Just stay away from concentrate or soy.

Haha.
Probably true.
I'm not healthy. I just look healthy.
That is pretty much true for anyone who trains harder than they should.

I have torn ligiments in my left shoulder that are taking forever to heal.
My right knee gives out from time to time and it feels like there is water in there.
My right elbow has occassional pain from an over extension.

I haven't carbed up for 5 days now (carbing up tonight).

My body is a wreck.
I'm stylin though.
I am 350lbs and healthy as fuck.

I Didn't Want Say This But I Hurt My Back Working In The Yard Pulling Out Tree Stumps Last Month And Now All I Can Do Is Look At My Gym. I Think I Have A Sciatic Nerve Pain Going Down My Leg Too. I Can't Bare To Think My Lifting Days Are All Over. All I Did Was Like To Cook, Play Video Games, And Work Out But Without Lifting All I'm Gonna Do Is Get Fat. Any Of You Know What To Do In This Situation?

I'm Not Sure Though If It Is Sciatic Nerve Pain Bc I Got A Blood Clot On That Same Side Frum When I Was Ten And Fell Out Of Tree And Landed On A Railroad Tie

Your days aren't over, get a roller, stretch regularly, strengthen your core, and find a good chiropractor for routine maintenance and/or a good masseusse. Like I can never play golf or twisting type of sports anymore (which is pretty much everything) due to football injury and car accidents but I can work out and lift, and even jog/ run mountain trails, so as long as I continue to do the preventative maintenance.

Definitely see a specialist and take proper medication "ibuprofen muscle relaxers " and all that. Try very light stretching if you can.
