I feel you. it's a shitty situation. there are villages in Iraq and Syria that have been virtually antonymous for centuries, with their own cultures and power structures. Muslims, christians, kurds, Assyrians, who could have given a fuck about a Saddam or a Bush are now being introduced to genocide, rape and cultural destruction. it's a lot like how the European imperialists of the previous 500 years used to do it. and besides a few missile drops here and there America is just kicking back and watching it.

as much as it might hurt the ego, our government will be better off establishing better relations with Iran and Syria, and to loosen ties with Saudi Arabia and and the Emirate nations who are filled with millionares who helped fund isis and al queda on the low.

You are highly misinformed if you're talking about the original Black Panthers. "The New Black Panthers" however have absolutely zero ties to the original group and are a bunch of pieces of shit.

The original Black Panthers was based on socialist ideology and were about CLASS warfare, not race. They worked with all groups including whites, asian's and latino's. After they were completely destroyed by COINTELPRO, sure there were a few former members who were completely lost and went aloof, doing weird and bizarre stuff, some racist. But at it's core, at it's beginning and at their height, they were a socialist organization who recognized that classism was the real problem. It was very early on ('67) they completely rejected black nationalism and focused more a "revolutionary internationalist movement". Their emphasis was a Marxist-Leninist doctrine with a lot of Maoism. This is why every Party member had to study Mao Tse-tung's "Little Red Book" to advance his or her knowledge of peoples' struggle and the revolutionary process.

problem is tho see, I as a white man am not an oppressor, but categorized.
Tho my family nor ancestors have ever oppressed, had slaves, been in a racist group, taught prejudice, ...but WE are a part of this big problem, right?
it's the same thing as the cops who categorize all people of color,... but they are wrong when they do it, right?

i'm not using your social and interpersonal interactions and family history as the basis for my opinion. i'm seeing it through a historical perspective of whole societies that have oppressed specific people within their boundaries and the ramifications of all the atrocities that took place. whether you are innocent or not does not change the fact that a certain group of people royally screwed over another group of people and that we're stealing with the ramifications of it til this day.
as an idealist you're saying people shouldn't be intolerant toward other ethnicities, which i agree with, but from a practical perspective you cannot equate white oppressive racism to black racial angst. you also can't expect the less powerful ethnic minority group to establish as much control over white people's thoughts as white people can over themselves. the result of the oppression is angst and it's not like that is an unnatural feeling. the cart should not go before the horse.
