not sure the right forum, but i figure the more knowledgable software peeps dwell in here...

Any suggestions on a software for basic video editing? I have little experience. All I want to do is make music video for youtube, and just dub the song over the video.

Adobe Audition the standard? but how is the learning curve?

check out AVS Video Editor. I've never used it, but my brother does and he says it's pretty easy.

Adobe Audition is an Audio Editor. Adobe Premier is for video.

aye does anyone know how to make videos that show waveform displays of the music playing? cuz i wanta make videos with some kind of active visual while my beat is playin or something.

I just got Premiere recently, dont know how to do anything in it yet.

Honestly, I have Sony Vegas and it's a great program for video editing... Tons of features, for transitions, and or higher-end editing... If you know a place to get it... Cop that shit... It's well worth your time...
