You can buy plug-ins right from the digidesign website.
Same with the Waves plug ins bundles.

Depending upon your system, I`ve heard that you can run windows based programs on the newer intel macs.

I haven`t been on a mac in over a year, but mine was an older mac anyway. You`d have to ask someone who runs an intel based mac to see if you can run windows programs on the mac, without having it dual boot both OS.

is there any way people can share plug-ins for a mac? anyone know? i know that on a pc you can download a shitload and share with ppl..im new to a mac everyone i asked said no cuz u have to buy em and register em or whatever

If you're really asking if cracked plugins exist for Mac the answer is yes, tons of them. You'll have to find them on your own however.
