are there any programs out there where you can cancel out the vocals and just have the beat for instrumentals? I know the audacity trick but you can still hear the vocals just a little bit and plus it sounds distorted. Also, is there a way where you can reverse that and just have the vocals for acapellas?

the audacity trick is the best thing you can do for removing vocals until the new melodyne comes out.

For an acapella, you need the instrumental and the song and they both need to be the same quality. Line them up in audacity or any other DAW, and invert either track. The beat will null and you'll be left with the vocals.

i heard about the matching the track and inverting one trick and in theory it should work, i've seen it done on the net but i'd have to see the shit in person to see if it really works
