If you enter a tournament, you are expected to participate. Especially if you checked in and said that you weren't gonna no-show.
From here on out, anybody who no-shows for a tournament where they signed up are banned from participating in tournaments for the next six months. I don't care what your excuse is. This is fucking pathetic when 1/2 of the participants don't show up.
