Carroll needs to go

Trade Wilson while he has some value

Cut Graham

Time to rebuild this washed up team.

I certainly don't think Carroll needs to go or that there is a viable alternative out there.

But it does bother with how much he stresses "competition" that he doesn't seem to carry that philosophy over to his coaching staff.

Other than guys moving on to other teams, I can't think of any coaches on his staff that have lost their jobs due to competition - which seems unlikely from a statistical standpoint. The odds are not in our favor that we have all the best coaches and no one could do the job better than they are.

If you want Pete Carroll gone then you dont understand simple wins and losses and playoff appearances. Look at what he has done for this franchise compared to his predecessors and in the time frame he did it in.

He didn't see the guy who looked like would cover Jimmy on the inside didn't take the inside, so it's not as if Wilson didn't read the defense it's just that he was already going to take the shot to the right, but if he would have waited half a second he would have seen it. Or ironically if there was immediate pressure from the defensive line it probably would have caused him to scramble a bit and then see the open receivers in the middle and to his left.

Every game has a few critical plays like that which are either missed opportunities or huge plays and Atlanta capitalized on theirs. The other was the Hester 76 yard kick retnn holding call. That changed everything and Seahawks went down hill from that point on. It was a close game, 10-10. They probably score a TD there and go up 17-10, rather than giving up a safety, punt and give up a TD. If they go up 17-10, who knows, maybe they stick to the running game instead of completely abandoning it and maybe Rawls has another huge game.

But even then there was a lot of football left so who knows. At the end of the day the better team won, Atlanta is the best team in the NFC and if it weren't for Rodgers playing out of his mind right now and literally carrying the Packers it wouldn't be close.

That's a very rough penalty if they take a second round.

Here's my thing with this - if Sherman had a "significant" injury like Carroll said, why would he return punts until they picked up Hester? Why would he play every game and every single play? Why no knee brace or support? Clearly my definition of significant is different than Pete's because there's no way he was playing that hard at that high of a level, returning kicks, covering kicks and attempting to block FGs and extra points every game if he had a significant injury. The whole situation is weird that Pete said that because clearly he wasn't "significantly injured". At best he had some minor injury that nagged at him, like most all players have throughout the season and their careers that don't go reported.

The NFL is also very inconsistent with enforcing this rule and teams do whacky shit all the time with the injury reports, some players are always on the injury report like Marshawn Lynch who never practiced besides pre season. Old vet QBs always have injuries listed so they can draw sympathy from refs and get roughing the passer flags. An example of the NFLs inconsistency the Jets were fined $250,000 when they didn't disclose Brett Favre's injured shoulder. The Colts last year however never disclosed Andrew Lucks broken ribs and they were not penalized at all. Clearly with Seattle they make it worse because they've had a few no-contact violations over the years, but to me that shouldn't matter since it's an entire different situation (and the last no-contact violation was because a scuffle occurred between two players the other was BS in that one player was covering a pass and bumped into dude which caused them to crash down the ground, an accident but the league already had a hard on for slapping SEA with violations/fines).
