That penalty on the huge Hester return changed everything. Instead of having the ball at the 10 yard line and either score a TD or a FG, they start inside their own ten, give up a safety and the ball right back to Atlanta for another 7 points. Seahawks could have been up 17-10.

What I hate about that penalty is it had absolutely nothing to do with the return since it happened on the line of scrimmage.

Falcons score here, this could be trouble. Falcons get ball to start 2nd half.
They got to find a way to get more pressure on Ryan. A couple times that they did he almost threw picks. That's the only way this defense is going to be able to stop them is with pressure. If they can't do that it's going to be a long day.

Something else that's bothering me is after that first awesome drive, Rawls has only ran once. WTF

All the complaining to the refs all week is paying off for Atalanta, only one penalty for five yards and that was for offsides on the kickoff. There are times when Bennett, Clark and Avril have been straight up tackled by the offensive line, no calls. I just want to see some consistency here, if they are going to nitpick every play against Seattle then nitpick Atlanta too.

It's a wrap. Defense getting gashed. Lots of things wrong with this team. Knew this game was gonna be trouble. Whatever. Time to get to work on next season.
Injuries have been a big problem this season. Not having Earl alone is huuuuge. They need to add more depth in the secondary clearly, I don't really like Lane usually anytime I see him he's getting beat or missing a tackle. I like Terrell though I think he's going to continue to get better. Disappointed in the defensive line though, just no real pressure.

Atlanta is a beast this year, obviously a very hot team going into the playoffs. Unfortunately the last couple years the Seahawks have had to take on the league's MVP on the road. Goes to show how critical it is to win home field advantage which they would have if not for losing that stupid game against AZ.

This year never felt like a Superbowl year though, they've had too many injuries all season, horrible offensive line and no running game until the last game of the season (and Procise's game before he got injured). Still never fun to lose in the playoffs but Atlanta is the better team right now.

Wait, a guy who's team went 2-14 and is in complete shambles is trying to talk?? lol Seahawks made it to the divisional game despite all their injuries throughout the season and was considered a down year. So the Seahawks in a down year is still a top NFL team whereas your squad only won TWO games all season lmao. Have fun watching Jed York rebuild the team for the next five years.

Seahawks have a lot of things to look forward too. The return on Earl Thomas and Lockett. The emergence of Paul Richardson and becoming a key piece of the offense. The return of Procise who will be an awesome one two punch with Rawls. They just need to improve the o-line. 49ers have to improve in almost every position starting at QB on the way down.

That's cool as long as you realize it makes you look retarded. Especially since none of us in this thread expected the Seahawks to make it to the Superbowl this year. It was obvious all season long it wasn't going to be a Superbowl year, starting with Wilson getting hurt with no ability to run, Rawls being out most the season and have to start bum ass Christine Michael, Earl going out for the season and all the other significant injuries (Lockett out for season, Kam missing 5-6 games, Bennett missing 4-5 games and so on).

Atlanta is arguably the hottest team right now with the best offense in the league and a defense that has been playing pretty well the past six games or so, most of us predicted the Seahawks would have to play damn near perfect football in order to win on the road in Atlanta. I don't think Cowboys/Packers can beat them either. Honestly the only team capable of it imo are the Patriots.

Good thing the bears are rebuilding. At least in 2 years you can jump back with em when the hawks co tinue their plunge
