^^ My dad had career ending/life threatening concussions at UNC. They told him one more head shot and he'd likely die on the field. Took away his scholarship and sent him packing. He's 63 now, was suicidal and depressed for a good 20 years, and forgets my name half the time I talk to him.
Yeah there are extreme cases like that.

What we're talking about is a guy who didn't have that, he was concerned and decided to call it quits. There wasn't some traumatic nearly dying on the field hit. It's one step away from laughing at the Lions player who was paralyzed on the field years ago. Locketts injury was brutal and he can't even move his neck right.

The "joke" Chree pulled up wasn't even about dude specifically, it was about that god awful off season the niners had when like 6 guys retired!

^^ It's all good and thank you.

Normally I'd agree with you on this - especially from a fan point of view. But I've seen enough BS related to concussions that I'd rather just give anybody the benefit of the doubt. If a player wants to retire early and protect his body for whatever reason, its nobody else's decision to question. Unless he's on the Ravens. Then fuck him.

Not only is Simon healthy I hear he's looking good and in great shape. Fourth year now hopefully he's matured. I'd love for him to win the starting job, I still have faith in the guy his size and athleticism are there, just needs to stay healthy and mentally "get it".

Sherman and Simon on the corners. Jeremy Lane playing nickel. Browner playing hybrid corner/safety to stop the run and cover TEs. Deshawn Shead ready to break out.

That's a dope secondary.
