Percy Harvin is rumored to be in talks with the Raiders right now also. Percy Harvin could be a beast with Derek Carr throwing to him.

We could have an insane passing game if we pick up Amari Cooper or Kevin White in the draft along with Percy Harvin as top two receivers with James Jones, Rod Streater, and Andre Holmes coming off the bench.

If Latavius Murray lives up to his potential and is able to open up that passing game, we could actually have a great offense for once lol

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...-highest-paid-center-in-league-141300007.html

The Raiders are finally putting some of that cap space to use.

According to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora, the team is expected to bring in center Rodney Hudson from Kansas City on a five-year, $44.5 million deal. The deal reportedly makes Hudson the highest-paid center in the league.

The 25-year-old Hudson was a second-round pick of the Chiefs out of Florida State in the 2011 draft. After dealing with injuries early in his career, Hudson started 31 of Kansas City’s 32 games over the past two seasons, developing into one of the league’s steadiest presences at center.

With a reported $57 million in cap space, Oakland was hoping to make a splash in free agency but struck out on acquiring big-time names like defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh (reportedly headed to Miami) and wideout Randall Cobb (reportedly staying in Green Bay).

The acquisition of Hudson isn’t a flashy one, but it provides offensive line stability for a team with a young quarterback that is coming off a 3-13 season.

With Hudson reportedly on his way in, that all but closes the Stefen Wisniewski era in Oakland. The Penn State product was picked by the Raiders seven slots ahead of Hudson in the 2011 draft and started 61 games for Oakland in his four seasons with the organization.

Hudson has worked himself up to be one of the top 10 centers in the league the last 2 years. I love the pick up, mostly because he's still only 25 and will more than likely only get better.

The Raiders had to pull the trigger on this. Wiz is gonna be gone and there were rumors the Chiefs were gonna give him a big contract, just not as much as The Raiders were willing to give. The Raiders have to build their O-line especially with Wiz leaving and had to take the chance, even with the massive contract.

They're waiting for more old washed up players to throw max deals at lol
Rodney Hudson - 25 year old top 10 center in the league

Malcolm Smith - 25 year old great prospect coming from the best defense in the league

Lee Smith - 27 years old, excellent blocking TE that will be great for opening holes for Latavius Murray

the Raiders are still in the running for both Percy Harvin (age 26) and DeMarco Murray (age 27) two of the best free agents on the market.

It's ok Chree, I know watching your team completely implode must suck and you need a place to vent, but you don't gotta make shit up for the sole purpose of hating.

Signed Roy helu to 2 year 4 mil deal.

Reggie isn't stupid and spending money to spend it. Cobb didn't take our offer of more money
Suh got too much IMO we need a lot more than suh to compete next year.
Maclin got too much from the Chiefs

He payed a lot to Hudson but he was rated the 3rd best center last year and is only 25, really young and he will only get better

I guess were out of the running for pot roast knighton Cuz we low balled him, another sign that reggie is being smart spending

Hopefully we make a run at browner and Murray that would be dope

Source: Raiders add Williams, Lofton

The Oakland Raiders continued to revamp their defense, agreeing to contracts with defensive tackle Dan Williams and linebacker Curtis Lofton on Wednesday, a source told ESPN.com's Michael C. Wright.

Terms of Williams' deal weren't immediately known, but Lofton agreed to a three-year contract, a source told ESPN's Josina Anderson.

On Tuesday, the Raiders agreed to a deal with former Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith, as the linebacker left the Seattle Seahawks to join Oakland, which will be led by new coach Jack Del Rio this season.

Williams, a former first-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals, was consistent and dependable during his four years in Arizona. Lofton, who was a captain and the leading tackler for the New Orleans Saints in 2014, was released by the team this week in a salary-cap move.

Lofton, 28, ranked fourth in the NFL with 144 tackles.

Williams battled weight issues during his first few years in Arizona but was able to get it under control during the last two years. However, Williams' playing time never reflected his lower weight and improved play. He averaged 334 snaps the last two years and recorded his second career sack in Week 9 at Dallas.

Williams, 27, finished his tenure in Arizona with 156 tackles, while helping the Cardinals to the No. 1 rushing defense in 2013 and a No. 13 ranking in 2014.

Lofton isn't a dynamic athlete, but he has always been a standout player as an inside thumper against the run. Lofton never had fewer than 123 tackles in his three years with the Saints, with a total of three sacks and four forced fumbles in that span. He has averaged 126 tackles per season in his seven-year career, never missing a game and starting all but one of them in his rookie year (2008, with the Falcons).
