Absolutely. I don't even understand how you can pick anybody else. His rookie numbers are reminiscent of LeBron's in more than a couple ways.

Unlike NFL awards, NBA awards are more or less individualized (outside of the MVP award), just like MLB awards.

Durant should be the MVP but everyone loves how Lebrons dick taste so he'll get it.

I like Durant's game and the young talent over there..plus they made a huge turnaround...But Lebron is averageing almost a triple double each game....

Durant is a special player but LeBron is clearly better than him. So is Kobe. There are probably a couple other players you could put before Durant. He could be an MVP someday but not this year.

Kevin Durant will get some second place votes for MVP. The scoring streak he went on made the media think of MJ so he'll get some recognition. And LeBron aint gonna want to see him in couple years. Watch for Mike Beasley next year if D-Wade leaves too, he's gonna be a scoring machine.
