Now a lot of you are like WHO?

He is one of our best Rugby League players from Australia. Rugby League, not Rugby. Rugby is shit and slow.

Nobody knows where he will play on the field, but I'd say as a kick returner and maybe once he learns blocking schemes, a running back.

I understand there is a lot to learn about joining the NFL, but this kid is special.

The Hayne Plane will make it.

Will be interesting to see if he can make a team. I do know the Seahawks have met with him before and are at least somewhat interested.

I think if he's got a shot it's each what you said - special teams and maybe become a RB.

It's a gutsy move on his part because it's nearly impossible to cross over sports like that unless you're a kicker, so failure is much more likely than any kind of success.

Everything he knows as far as running and tackling he has to adjust, basically relearn everything. All of the fundamentals are totally different. Like watching his video's when he runs he runs straight up, thats not how you want to run as a RB in football, have to stay low, the footwork is different, etc. I would be amazed if he can make a team and contribute.

Football players can play rugby but rugby players cant play football. No disrespect to rugby players, its a great game, but when you slap the pads on you hit a different way.

Hayne comes from Rugby LEAGUE, not Rugby. NFL players would find the switch very difficult too, you can't be NGATA size and run for 80 minutes straight with minimal stoppages.

even rugby players can't play rugby league.

Rugby League is the toughest sport out of the 3. We hit hard without pads, imagine if we did have them on? lol There is nobody in the NFL that could hurt Hayne with a tackle, unless it's helmet to helmet.

He has a low center of gravity, he can easily adjust his running style for blocking purposes, but he has slave feet, he can be very hard to get a hold of.

As for tackling, I'd love to see him take with him rugby league style of tackling, around the legs. Stop the legs, stop the man.

For now, just give him a chance on special teams and let his vision do the talking.

First off - everyone is entitled to their own opinion - so I appreciate yours.

But you can ask anyone who's played football - pads do nothing - and football players don't aim for legs - they aim for however the fuck they can not only take you down but destroy you. And there's more speed and velocity in the game than there is in rugby. Its not a tough guy thing - there's plenty of tough guys in every sport. Football is about either running someone over or destroying them, and weight * speed = momentum, plus the fact football stops play which allows players to reset over and over and run at each other full speed, that makes it different.

If I hear of this guy having a regular role or being a starter I will paypal you enough to buy a few beers.

Instead of paypal, you can watch a full game of Rugby League and never again refer to it as Rugby.

Rugby vs Rugby League? bruh it's like you're saying futbol instead of soccer.....it still seems like the exact same shit to us americans
that's cause your american...........

they are different sports, one has more stoppages, one doesn't.

one is similar to nfl, the other isn't
