besides LT the only RB i can see becoming a Hall Of Famer is Adrian Peterson and he aint even there yet. you need more than stats IMO and Frank Gore comes of as a second thought to most. a hall of famer is never a 2nd thought when there in there prime. so you need the it factor, championships, and stats. thats how you get in i think.

For some reason Chris Carter can't even get in. He shoulda been 1st ballot.
i think it was that it factor man. he was great and IMO HOF worthy but he was always overlooked for some reason, now when i say overlooked i mean by media cause obviously no coach would do that. he had the stats but didnt have the other 2 so i think thats why.

shiiiiiit its gonna be interesting to see what petersons boutta do with that acl surgery. I dont think he'll be the same, but at the same time I think he will still be a starting caliber rb.

yeah man it'll be hard for him to get in and even harder after that surgery. i'm saying he's in just saying if any RB will make it in it would be him. but yeah after this thread made there really is a lack of great RB in the NFL.

I dont think if Frank Gore's career ended today he would make the HOF I think on the conservative side hes got at least two more years and I say that puts him at 10,000 Yds Rushing 3,000 Receiving and about 70 TD's thats on the same level or better as Earl Campbell and Franco Harris for an argument

I don't think there is a lack of RB's, what's making the rb position less and less valuable is the NFL becoming this pass happy league. Its like the RB is now starting to take a back seat to the Tight End's. Not saying there are a bunch of hall of famers out there but Chris Johnson, Ray Rice, Steven Jackson, Frank Gore, Matt Forte, Adrian Peterson, LT imo could all consistently play at a elite level in any era.

Yeah LT is for sure.

IMO gore has been overlooked as elite because the niners havent been an elite team.

HOF or not, Frank is still my favorite Niner and the best RB to come outta SF. That says a lot. I really want him to get a Super Bowl ring, he deserves it as much as anyone.
