I don't mind rooting for a Cinderella story team. Doesn't mean I'm a bandwagon because I'm not even really a fan of the team. Just like to see dogs get the upset through hard work.

Also, in boxing it takes time to aquire a fan base. Boxers generally have to prove themselves before people become actual "fans". That really makes boxing one of the biggest bandwagon sports there are.

It's only okay if you truly don't have a football team and root for the NFL as a whole for entertainment purposes.

Basically, don't ever claim you're a diehard fan of any team, skew your support to only one team, then when they do bad, hop to another team. You might do so because you placed a hefty bet on a team and your team is out of the playoffs.

Nowadays most people definition of "bandwagon fans" is so fucked up that I'm not sure everyone in this thread is even on the same page.

Of course it's NOT ok to be a bandwagon fan, but I personally dont give a fuck if you are. I will clown though if you bring it around me and I expose you
Yeah exactly. If you're team is out of the playoffs, it's ok to cheer for a team you might happen to like. It doesn't happen often for me because I hate most all teams, but the Titans for example when they had George and McNair, i loved that team the year they went to the superbowl. Had nothing to do with me jumping on any wagon I just like the players and the coach and really really hated the Rams and wanted the Titans to win. I liked the Ravens when they had an awesome defense and cheered for them basically because I hated Brady and Manning and wanted some team to fuck them up. But I never became a fan of a team because they are winning, like all those Heat fans did.

One team in every sport is how it should be.

I'm in Detroit and I refuse to bandwagon the Lions even though it's been 21 years since they won a division title.

Godgers hasn't thrown a pick at Lambeau all season btw..
