all 3 hosts on the espn nba countdown show were joking about teams tanking on purpose. tryin to make it seem as if tanking didnt exist. the more teams tank the more money the pro sports betters and oddsmakers in los vagas make. same goes for the teams that are always annointed to the playoffs. espn and the nba always attempting to sweep corruption under the rug

i cant even watch basketball, its so boring and obviously fixed, and everyone gives up easily. shit, just something as simple as playing a playoff game while having a cold will turn you into a legend and basketball fans will talk about your will and leadership and blahblah for decades. lol basketball is by far the worst sport

i remember when that one referee exposed how corrupt the nba was. david stern and his regime dragged tim donaghy's thru the mud because he told the truth. donaghy would have destroyed the nba as we know it if the stern regime didnt run the smear campaign that they did. espn went into damage control and did their best to downplay the corruption

No you're right, the world of pro sports became a righteous place after the Chicago White Sox threw the World Series in 1919. Since then, all of the Pro Sports Champions would like to thank God for helping them persevere, and most of all the fans for believing in them. Pro Athletes would never cheat or throw games, what a ridiculous notion. Anyway, enough tom foolery, I have to get back to teaching my children to write to Santa Claus, pray to a mystery god, and indoctrinate them into believing the government will save us from our evil ways and take care of us because we are less than thou.

In life you will always find people that can be bought, everyone ultimately has a price. They are also paying agents, accountants, sometimes security and physicians, etc. Do all pro athletes throw games? Probably not. Do some? You can bet Vegas it does.
out of a $20 million salary lets say the govt steals 50% in taxes. then depending on teh state of residence its sometimes 10% or more. then evertybody on his payroll gets their cut...that $20 million easily dwindles down to $7 million. sometimes less depending whether or not theres child support or alimony involved. of course those 2 alone eat up a few hundred thousand a year easily. players make enough but los vegas sports odds put pressure on them to perform a certain way
By the way, the money inside the world of gambling (both legal and illegal) is multiple times greater than any revenue generated by a pro sports league, which world is more powerful?
