the stadium gun had Penny in the High 80 for most of the night occasionaly reaching back for a couple 90+ fastballs and you guys couldnt even touch him! lol
i remember the same thing happening to you guys with zito last time, he struck out 8 of you and his fastest pitch was 86, and he did it for more than 5 innings.

coletti is probably gone after this season.. after that andruw jones signing.

i doubt it. Manny and Blake appear to be great signing thus far (and we got Manny for FREE, as Boston picked up the entire7 million owed to Manny for the rest of the season).

and even if Manny and Blake walk we got 4 1st round Draft Picks for them and all we gave up was the often injured Andy LaRoache

will you please inform us as to what that "specific development plan for Lincecum" is? i mean if its specific than it must be out in print somewhere, right?
Within the organization there is a plan (max pitch counts, max innings, etc).

Who have the Giants developed in the past 10 years other than Cain and Lincicum?
Tons of pitchers(Matis, Accardo, etc), but as you said earlier Sabean was stupid enough to trade most of them for vets...the Giants currently have a glut of great pitching prospects in the low-mid minors...

they had a decent amount of prospects led by Tim Alderson.

you what you are saying is there is no plan, just a general idea that some1 threw out there and others are running with.

who in the hell is Matis? also Accardo is a reliever. relieveres become relievers for 1 of 3 reasons.

1. they have 1 dominant pitch and strong mental makeup. these usually become great closers.

2. not good enough to start or close. struggle 2nd time around order. no changeups. lack of 3 +pitches

3. lefty or submarine specialists

those were his last 10 pitch counts. thats one hell of a great way to keep pitch counts down. with plans like that its no wonder that former highly touted SOUND Giant prospects have disappeared.

Koruda and Kent are NOT overpaid.

Koruda has had an ERA in the High 3's for 80% of the year....if thats overpaid to you i fear you have no idea what a solid pitcher. Maybe Johan Santana is average in your opinion?

pierre gets us 200 hits and 50 some odd stolen bases while rarely if ever missing a game.....how is that overpaid? just because our farm system has produced some "better" outfielders that can/are outproducing Pierre doesnt mean he is overpaid........but if you consider him overpaid then what does that say for Randy Winn who is making about 800K more a year than Pierre and is your best outifelder?

Dodgers Wasted Money

1. Schmidt---47M (DL)
2. G. Parra---10M (DL)
3. A. Jones---36M (SUCKS)
4. J. Pierre----44M (Bench Player-Good Numbers)

Do you see anything in my previous post that said ANYTHING about the Giants? Don't get a bloody asshole and be all defensive because your team signed some worthless deals. Secondly how are you going to dedicate a whole paragraph defending Pierre and then call his contract wasted money? ROFL.

Pierre actually has good numbers, its just that the kids (Kemp and Eithier) are out performing him.

your post was in response to my post about Giants wasted money. thats why i posted what i posted

not completely wasted, theyre basically coaches/tutors that also play.. theyre teaching the younger guys theyllbe gone sooner or later.. we'll have a young team that costs less than what the dodgers will have.. so its a temp. thing.

Im still trying to figure out why Walker is still on the team or why he was even brought back.
When is Ishikawa getting called up? He did pretty decent last year in his short stint.
