What should the Jews Do?

I believe the Hebrews and children of Abraham should have the land. I don't believe white people from russia and europe should have it.

Too late to get out. I think there must be a two state solution with Palestine, one which Israel respects the 1967 borders. Israel must pull their troops out of Gaza and Lebanon. Israel must rebuild Palestine, build housing, restore their infrastructure, hospitals, schools, etc. All of this must be funded 100% by Israel/US. Israel must continue to fund the Palestinians until their country is restored and each and every last Palestinian has decent housing/food/education/etc.

Is this possible any time soon? Fuck no! The only way is through a mass movement of the Israeli’s workers to overthrow their capitalist regime which would put an end to these mindless wars and attacks on living standards. In addition, there must be a socialist Palestine along side a socialist Israel as part of a socialist confederation of the Middle East in which the workers and poor peasants decide how society is run and not the corrupt leaders. This is the only way the land with all its resources will be shared equitably, thus guaranteeing self-determination for both peoples.

On a side note, I wounder what the world would be like if the Jews settled in Argentina after WWII, which they highly considered.

The Jews of Israel live in the geo-strategic reality that losing one war likely means losing the state of Israel. I believe they have a right to defend themselves against cross border raids into Israel. However I question the use of force which in my opinion is disproportionate to the crime committed. In the short run it may provide detterance but in the long run it will breed the type of diaspora that makes terrorism more common. I think it is in the interest of the Jewish people to find a political solution to the problems of the Palestinian and Lebanese sooner rather than later. In the near future the Israeli's face the population multiplication table that American Indians faced with Europeans...not only in the Middle East region but also in their own country.

I also believe the United States should restrain Israel in the current conflict. They are the country with the most significant bargaining power and they are essentially assisting the Israeli operation by not seeking a peaceful alternative.

Like 2-0-Sixx said, I don’t see peace anytime in the new future. I don’t see peace because I see major deficiencies in the education and acculturation of both Israeli and Arab children. I see both governments and family upbringing to blame for the perpetuation hate and violence that continues to make the situation so flammable. I think the historical grievences are too much for this generation of Israelis/Palestinians to overcome, and until both sides get rid of the "Your grandfather killed my grandfather" mentality there will never be peace.

Correct. I don't see a socialist revolution starting in Israel/Palestine, I, like your pops, see it eventually spreading to that region. Socialist revolution imo is inevitable; the only questions really are when and where it begins.

In some instances (mainly among certain sects) this how your "jewishness" is judged.

Israel should continue to exist but so should palestine. Instead of trying to push them out of the west bank and gaza, they should give them their own state. This would mean confronting daddy (America), which would mean fewer US donations to Israel, but it would help peace in the middle east.

One thing Israel should do is GET THE FUCK OUT OF LEBANON. I saw on the news that they just blew up another apartment block because they suspected the leader of the Southern faction of Hezbollah was staying there. Did they kill him? NO! They did kill several lebanese though. The UN and US should put trade sanctions on Israel and make them outkasts if they continue this shit, and they should force them to pay for any damages (rebuilding of bridges, the air port etc.). Of course, the US is too busy sitting back and dick-riding Israel - I think the UN should ditch the US altogether, I'm tired of their own national agenda.

^^They also killed four UN peacekeepers yesterday. According to the BBC News, the peacekeepers contacted Israeli forces at least 10 times telling them they were dropping bombs near them. Each time the Israelis told them they would stop.
