Did anyone catch the hbo documentary called gaslands part 2? Part 1 is on YouTube. It's some sad shit what it actually does to the surrounding people that live near them which are scattered all over the Midwest and east. Yet these gas companies don't give a shit. Saw another video of this lady that lives near a natural gas extraction plant and it shows her animals dieing in the barn from their nervous system braking down. Even as far as people turning their faucets on and lighting a lighter and watchin the water go up in flames.. Anyone else seen this ?

The significant thing is not so much that someone's tap water contains enough methane to be lit on fire, the important parts of the fracking story are that, first, it's an enormous bubble that will soon burst, and second, that it is extremely foolish to think it is a long-term solution to the natural gas crisis (let alone the energy crisis in general). We're talking 80+ percent first-year decline rates per well. That's a drilling treadmill that's absolutely unsustainable, and when that unsustainability catches up with us, we'll be in for some very rude awakening
