LOS ANGELES -- Actor Michael Richards -- best known for his role as Kramer on Seinfeld -- is being sued for allegedly attacking a photographer last month. This according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ.
In the suit, photographer Brendon O'Neal, states that Richards approached him on a street in L.A. on August 25 in a "menacing manner... with closed fists" and proceeded to beat him.
O'Neal claims he suffered "great mental, physical, and nervous pain and suffering."
At this time, there is no explanation as to what triggered the alleged attack.
Being at the center of controversy is not new to Richards -- in 2006, he used the n-word during a rant at the Laugh Factory in L.A. prompting a public apology that was broadcast on David Letterman's "Late Show" in New York.
Richards has not commented on the lawsuit.
