BLOCK STARZ MUSIC SPONSORS 2010 PITTSBURGH HIP-HOP AWARDS

Block Starz Music is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 4th Annual Pittsburgh Hip-Hop Awards (PHHA) presented by 360 Entertainment on Saturday Feb. 6, 2010. Billed as "Pittsburgh's Music Industry Event of the Year", the awards show honors the best and brightest urban talent Steel town has to offer in over 35  categories, including R&B, Poetry, Model, Clothing Store, and Barber Shop.

As part of its sponsorship, Block Starz Music will present the PHHA winner of "Mixtape Of The Year" with a promotional package worth over $2000. 

"Block Starz Music is a link to the marketplace for new independent talent," says BSM vice president of A&R/Promotions, Matt Nachem. "The 'Pittsburgh Hip-Hop Awards' have been a great vehicle for artists in the city to be recognized for their efforts; naturally, BSM would want to be involved with such an event and we look forward to working with 360 Entertainment on various projects in the future." 

Past PHHA winners include Nesia Beats, Lingerie of Pretty Ricky, Boaz, and Wiz Khalifa, who appears on the first single, "Was It", from BSM's "East Coast Block Starz" compilation, now available on Amazon, iTunes, and Rhapsody. 

This year's event will be held at The Pittsburgh Hilton Hotel Grand Ballroom on Saturday Feb. 6, 2010 with Red Carpet starting at 6:30pm and an 8:00pm showtime.
